Want to thank Sharptonn for sending me some pins and collars that were slightly larger, but great for this pair of ducks. The Sheffield dancing around in the cladding pictures was also from Tom and had the remains of gold around the pivot, hence why I cleaned it up to reclad at the same time as the ducks.

Yeah, had to hit it with metal polish first, then even I couldn't tell. So I pulled the loupe out to get a clear look. Got the blade cleaned up today, and a couple blanks cut out of the black n white ebony. Just gotta come up with the design for the scales. Hope to have it finished by the end of the week. hahaha [emoji38]
Gettin the pivot hole just right, is gonna be the fun part. This blade is crazy, but that's the fun part of it, the rest is work [emoji5]
    Glad ya sent it [emoji482]

So I'm looking forward to this one. It needs a lot of sanding and there is an eroded part on the shoulder , like a dent.

What is strange to me about this one is that the spine tapers inwards . Never seen that before and I'm curious to see if that effects the honing..
That tapered part above the actual spine is purely strength, decoration, and weight. Many razors have engraving and file work up there.

The actual spine which lays on the hone or strop is at the bottom of that. Straight and true.

I am glad you took the challenge Mike and got the joke bout sending you a butchered blade in the first place. When all is said and done, if you get it done, it's gonna be a great shaver.
I love my 7 day of em..

And you do, all the time Tom.
Think that Sheffield's gonna go in my first bone scales ever..
With some brass, and that gold, should look nice.
