Mine are always nice and blue, yet very reflective after the oil/steel wool. Hard to photograph!
Thats what I was telling you!!
    Let it sit over night.

Apply the blueing, let it sit on the blade till it lightly rusts, then "Gently"!! Apply oil and let sit overnight. Then just wipe the oil off with a clean rag. Do " NOT" rub with steel wool at all.....NEVER!!!

I do not use bluing but a Jax product that does the very same thing. Depending on what i am trying to do as to how I use it. If I am doing my false patina it is a few wipes and then steel wool and then bleach splashes, and then rinse and steel wool and oil. If I am going for a very dark finish i will soak a small piece of paper towel and let it sit wrapped up for a few hours and then let it dry and chill overnight. The first time i saw what looked like rust my heart sank and I thought I had stuffed my efforts, but steel wool and oil and it was golden.

Those are wacky collars. I kind of like those. At first the reflection of the counters threw me off. Nice job.

I like Outbacks collars, I see someone found the findings catalogue, thinking outside the box, that is what I like more than the rest, the spalted scales are perfect.
