B52, Wow...............what a beauty! I keep scrolling up & down as I write this message because it is such a gorgeous piece!
Now for the shave & SOTD with our other things.........
Oh yeah, Prodigy, sorry I can't help ya out in any scales but maybe someone has some. If you can't find any, just make some some big enough.Last edited by engine46; 02-07-2016 at 12:43 AM.

Thanked: 4206Seems I'm in agreement with Shaun on these last two scale sets.
Going to try to stain these bone scales to match the ivory once they are profiled somehow.
Almost there, width wise now.
This Celebrated rebuild is moving along slowly, but I sort of intended to make myself take my time by putting it down now and then.

You know I knock em out fairly quick Mike..
If it wasn't for your craftsmanship,
You'd have gotten fired at my shop. [emoji38] [emoji38]
But I too, have some blades to work slow with.....when I get to them. Just saving for when the weather brakes, and can sit outside, enjoying the sun, and a cold Corona and lime. Like Pescholli said, in fast times at ridgemont high...... All I need, is a cool buzz and some tasty waves, and I'm ok.[emoji6]Mike

Thanked: 4206Got the bone scales down to .11" and aside from a natural fissure on the inside of one that appeared during the clean up I am happy with the profile. Must have been a marrow vein or something.
Left them in some thick coffee grind slurry for a few hours to see if I can darken them somewhat to match the ivory.

Right on Tony, you started calling him B52 like I do. We have a few Mike's on here so it is easier for me to distinguish each in a certain way except one of them is MIA. Still no word yet from MikeT so I hope his wife didn't have any complications with the baby. Along with that, moving & any other issues life seems to throw our way, we don't know what may have happened. I do hope & pray all is well with him & the family & that he's just overwhelmed with all these things at one time! I do hope he turns up soon. I have been worried about him & his family.

Ha, ha machine gun Mike...........you're too funny!
You've just been lucky & the doctors did a great job fixin' ya back up. I haven't been so fortunate & IMHO heart surgeons have had a lot more success than orthopedic surgeons have had with back surgeries. I wish they could come up with a disc substitute they could put in there & I would be so much better. I'm not crying "oh poor me" though. I hope they come up with a cure soon. I could be rockin' again like I was when I was still working on Harley's. B52 is just taking his time so it will be immaculate.
