Brass on brass on horn is pretty nice.

Going with a honey horn in a classic shape.

Think maybe a bone wedge and silver pins, or maybe brass on brass..
Depends on any variation that shines through the horn when it's thinned out.

That ain't dry and dirty, outback. Had I a camera and was inclined, I would post mine.
Got one of those 'nutting' cracks on the outside of the right thumb from starting fasteners and such. Pretty deep.

All to do is fill it with Neosporin and go at it.
Def put a hiatus on honing. Flip, 'OUCH' . Flip, 'OUCH'!

Bringing them down to a nominal 2 mm thickness.

I do my inside surface first using some thin double sided tape to hold them flat and matched on a piece of hardwood. Then flip them to do the outside. Everything after about 2.25 thick is going to be done by hand.

I think I just figured your high razor rebuild output method Mike!
Us mere mortals use sandpaper and waste time cleaning it and replacing paper in pieces of hose and what not, you just rub the wood between your knarly meat hooks and voila instant scale ready for finishing.
