Did I reinvent the wheel, or have some of you already done this.

Being I don't have a belt sander, I was looking for a quicker way for me to make wedges.
The hardest part was holding on to it while either using sand paper or a file.

So here's what I came up with.
The corner of a piece of 1" thick plastic.
3 pieces of 1/16" brass rod,3/4" long. ( laying on bench and floor where you do your pinning [emoji5] )

Drill three , 3/64" holes , 1/2" deep, in the shape of a triangle.
Install brass pins with peener hammer , file to desired height.

    Auhah!!!
Now I know your secret! So you really DON'T have a chain-gang of elves working tirelessly around the clock in the basement!.. it's these simple yet ingenious ideas you keep coming up with... dagnammit my plans for supreme straight razor domination have been foiled again!
    hehehe
That's a great idea. In my over-complicated mind I imagined precisely machined pieces of high grade steel with slots to hold the wedge material... ... ... then I came back from Planet Neutron and grabbed some masking tape and did it the hard way... LMAO

Secrets are kept by some. Techniques developed and shared here are no secret. Thanks, outback Mike!

Here's another idea I came up with, based off sharptons (Toms ) idea of the pin vise , for cleaning collars.
Removed the anvil from a 1/8" aluminum pop rivet and replaced it with a piece of 1/16" dia. rod the same length. Peened the end of the rod so it holds the collar against the aluminum rivet.

Install into my pop rivet gun, ( this one will hold its desired grip till the button on the bottom is depressed, then will release the rivet from the gun) and buff away.
Just making use of things on hand.
