Mike, you keep cranking out the hits man. nice work on those scales and thanks for the awesome SOTD posts gents. Love all the different takes on defying gravity.
After a very nice night out, woke up to the first snow of the year up here so decided to get busy on one I've been puttering away at.
Made the wedge initially out of a coin, but after test fitting realized it wasn't thick enough so made a coin/copper sandwich.

Got the blackwood as thin as I dared and the final coat done. Just working on the fit of the wedge and then I can pin it all up.

And great news about Richard. I got a quick pm from him saying he's off to the half way house as well. He is like the energizer bunny!
    Hopefully, back home soon.

That's great to know B52. I would have sent him a pm long ago but I didn't want to bother him. A collapsed lung is NO fun at all!
I know Bill was joking like he does but to answer his question from the other night, yes, I was hurt seriously or they wouldn't have flown me to the medical center via helicopter. I had problems breathing & they had me on an oxygen machine for several days & the broken ribs didn't help out at all. They also had me on a morphine drip & I was in so much pain I was hitting the button every 10 minutes which is what it was set for.
I was going down the street when I saw an oncoming car in my lane & to keep from having a head on collision, I avoided that but doing so, I lost control & hit the curb & was thrown from my Harley & landed on a fire hydrant! I laid back on the street with my feet still up on the curb at the hydrant & people came rushing over & they said to stay there, not to move but I kept telling them I couldn't breath & needed to sit up but they pushed me back to laying down. It was a really messed up situation & the other driver kept going like nothing happened, most likely on their cell phone!

    Thanks Mike...
    The brush is awsome.
Little stiffness, but soft as well.
Like the scrintchy knots like that.
Builds good lather on the face. [emoji106]

    Good to hear about Richard.
They probably have to tie him down to the bed at night. [emoji1]

And of course... Ya no I can't sit idle. I started another set of scales today. Kinda old school design, with a outback twist.

Oh man I appreciate the offer, but I feel that to accept any more would be wrong since I've put in very minimal work lately. I'll get that workshop at my buddies house set up better this weekend, maybe put in some work. Went there today and cleaned it up, sawdust was piled high and molding, rats ate power cords to his equipment, light bulbs out, no heat. But I fixed most of that so I'm about ready to put some work in!
Gotta cut down some wood for blanks and try to be fast like Outback! I might need to abduct him and put him to work, chain him to the work bench and keep him passive and productive with Corona..
If I could afford it, I'd be there on a Thursday or Friday afternoon, and stay till sunday eavening. Thats no lie. That would be fun as hell.

    But I got a confession.....

The scales are done for the Griffon shorty.

Pinning with brass collars ( Thanks Tom, perfectly timed...!! ) , brass pins and wedge.

Will have to post it in tomorrows,
