Thanked: 4200Decided overnight, I can’t work with a shifter that functions on an angle, it’ll piss me off every time I mis shift or look at it as less than the best I could do with what I had available. So I have removed middle covers as required , as well as the shifter itself, to see what’s available.
I could use those two socket head bolts, which connect to the rear isolation mount as leg bases for a 1/4” steel extension plate to which a tie rod could be mounted, then the rest of the linkage fabricated to suit.
I could cut off the extra height of the original and modify the tunnels accordingly,,, maybe..
Gonna order a tie rod and do some mocking up.
Might still be able to pull this off with a stock-ish looking shifter..
