Judging by the look of that belt,I reckon no one will be getting very close to trying to steal yer pipe yeah . All good knives, wish I could really blow some cash and get one. But then again it's a nice goal to save up and shoot for down the road. Got my eye on one or two designs..we'll see . already got one good K-Bar. A silver blade would be nice however.

Ok. This might be like beating a dead horse, but here's few interesting sites about Finnish knife makers. Mostly in English.
I got these links from the Finnish pipe smoking forum.

Here's an interesting blog. Not only about knives, but leatherworks, outdoors and whatever. When you scroll down the page 'vanhemmat tekstit' is a link to 'previous page'

And here's few links to the pages of individual knife makers. Great pics.

Yes, thanks Tomi! I've been wondering what I could do with the Mammoth teeth I have laying around, I've been using them as sanding blocks, knife handles would be a much better use!! OK, back to reality, that was probably the most unique and beautiful knife handle I've ever seen, totally awesome! The knife itself would be useless to me though, I'd be afraid to hold it for fear of dropping it or something!! It's too pretty to use!

I'm sure, all this beautiful knifes are able for daily using.
But they are also pieces of art.
I'm not a collector, all knifes I get I'll use.
...and I'm sure, if I do a trip to Finland, I'll visit a knifemaker there.
Thanks for sharing this links, Tomi.

Knives aren't something to collect or jewels only; they are all tools made to use.

Here's few links to local knife/outdoor exhibitions. Fiskars is a damn pretty artisan/craftsman village. Not so far from where i live.
There's Mike Blue from SRP. He is a Canadian knife maker, i think he has visited in Fiskars several times.

    Helsinki knife show
    Fiskars knife days

And to get this thread once and for all off topic, here's a link specially for Thomas. It's my good mate and a neighbor. He's a jeweller but makes some interesting custom motorcycles as well. Not so of my style, but very interesting.

Now, i make the promise: my next post will be about potd. Seems that i'm good on getting off topic.
