Tonight's supper was grilled boneless rib steak, sauteed mushrooms, green beans, roasted potatoes and toasted homemade bread with butter and a bit of Lyle's Golden. OH! Can't forget a glass of cow squeesims to help the old bones along.

While I'd taken the bulk of my 7Up pound cake to my youngest daughter for her family I'm still working on what's left and part of it will be for dessert with some homemade ice cream.

A post I ran across in another place.

And what do you mean, bachelors don't cook???? I'm a bachelor, AND I'm over 40. And I can cook quite well. I had to learn. The other two options were a) eating in restaurants or from takeaways, or b) get married. Both are potentially expensive and time-consuming.

Besides, you’d be a fool to put something that is potentially a source of great happiness and satisfaction in the hands of someone else.
