    Salmon covered with diced tomatoes, diced mushrooms, parsley, diced green onions, dash of hot sauce and s & p. Nuked yam and a mixed salad w/oil and lemon juice. Green tea.

    No picture of tonight's dinner - it was sole with the classic lemon sauce and I used goat milk butter and tarragon instead of parsley (success!), sides of (finally local) snap peas and mixed heirloom tomatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper.
    It went down with a bottle of good vermentino - to me that and malvasia bianca are the classic mediterranean wines so just perfect for a summer evening with an ideal weather.

    Here's a picture from few days ago when I cooked for just myself the one leftover duck breast from earlier - sides of snap peas and mixed fresh potatoes with butter and dill. I made a relish-type thing to smear on the duck after cooking - fresh mint, garlic, chipotle powder, olive oil, mustard, honey. As I usually do it was very much improvised but it was so good that I am going to be repeating it with the same (well, as same as eyeballed can get you) proportions.

    Rib Eye stake Rare (a good vet could have saved it) garlic potato's sautéed mushrooms green beans black coffee and lemon lime pie now these may not go together but I sure do like them.

    I've said it many a time before...........It's painful to only read about it.....bet it looked awesome. .....and lemon lime pie even...geeeze.

    Haven't made this for a long time....Chanko Nabe......Sumo stew. Chicken stock with Mirin and Fresh grated Ginger and Sesame oil. Cremini mushroom, spring onions,Aburage(deep fried tofu),deep fried fish cake,tofu,Canton noodles,Red Miso, Black sesame seeds...Fresh strawberries for a palate cleaner. .................................................. ..
