Well let's hope we won't be planning any last meals for a long time.......unless it's the cat that we are turning into a sausage. Lol.

Real Chicharon in a sandwich on Cuban Bread, Watermelon, and a cold Amberbock on the side while watching the beisbol.

This is no kidding real chicharon (equal parts cracklin/crispy bacon and pork chop) I can almost feel my arteries clogging but odsbodkins this is delcious!

Can't beleive no pic of Chicharrone .......I judge Mexican restaurants by their quality of Chichi's. Damn....I may have to go to the Mexican restaurant now tonight.

I got these from a little whole in the wall Cuban place by where I work that makes them fresh every day. I devored them before I could snap a pic. They're good and thick and have a good bit of meat on them. Of course the skin around the edges is crispy. Just wonderful, greasy pig fat goodness, the kind of thing you wouldn't mind eating every day but would probably kill you in a couple weeks.

Yes,Yes,Yes and agreed. Just came back from The Mexican Restaurant (curse you). The Chicharrones were as always fantastic but, Sadly the rest of it was a downer. My once favorite Mex joint is no more(sigh). havin a pipe and some Japanese iced Barley tea (unsweetened). Full as a tick now.
