I went for a 4 mile trail run this evening, completing 4x1 minute intervals. It rained pretty hard a couple of times turning a moderate workout into a slogfest. It builds character, right?

The girlfriend and I entered a trail run next weekend. It was either 6, 12, 20 or 30. Neither of us is fit enough for a 20 or 30 and 6 is little short, so 12k it was!
She at least has been doing quite a bit of running recently including a couple of 10k races. Me on the other hand will have to wing it.Tony

34 miles to and from work yesterday. I hit a sad milestone yesterday - even with clear sky's I needed the headlight the entire way. That means cold weather and 4 extra layers of clothing for the ride.

I have some vacation to use up so I took today and tomorrow off to work on some projects.
However, today was my birthday so I rode 53 miles - one for each year. Nice way to spend the day capped off with dinner with the family.“Hiking’s not for everyone. Notice the wilderness is mostly empty.” ― Sonja Yoerg
