This is just ONE of the reasons GOD created Paint Stripper and other Refinishing Supplies.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

    Aloha!

Finally got around to working on my Webster Brothers (NY) Yankee Wedge.
Got the scales all cleaned up and all the black rust is gone from the blade. Some long but careful work with 600 grit paper and WD-40.

Now I just need to start the Mother's Polishing routine and then put it to the stones for some fine honing.
Looking forward to shaving with it later this week.

I love the modern wedges. Nice shavers! Cool scales with "Yankee Wedge" there. Need something to make those letters pop!

Mahalo! Yes, I thought the same thing. Bring out that red lettering and the scales would look great.

So these are going to be about .032" thick and boy are they neat sanded and polished! This project is on once I get some fun money saved up.

FYI, the PBR in the background is awesome and super classy! Looking forward to what you're gonna do with this.
