Thanked: 4827I trust the adjustments to the wedge and the thinning of the scales has you in a more even tension on the blade.
Looks good. That shot of the grind is quite nice two. The are almost impossible with an autofocus camera.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Finishing up that Yankee Wedge today for shave tomorrow or Friday. Depends on how the honing goes. Don't expect any issues.
Next up may be my Hibbard-Spencer-Bartlett OVB (Our Very Best). Have these MOP scales laying around and thinking about putting them on, although they are a tad big as they sit. I also have some nice Hawaiian Koa scales (popular native Hawaiian wood that works and finishes well) that I am saving for the Solingen blade I have. We'll see how I feel when I finally get to the project next week. The blade is in decent shape as I have worked on it a bit before removing the black rust and stains. Just need some polishing and honing.
