I thank all for their input, truly I do.
I feel more artful and keeping to our standards to introduce the shape.
I now see it in Japanese style razors, and done backwards of my shape.
Bless you all for input and toleration of a different set of scales.
MikeT your words run deep. I get it. I hope that those who design GET what you said.
Beak is gone, it doesnt hold well in the hand.

Great Jonathan. It was a good idea & it looked good but since it wasn't that practical & didn't hold good in your hand, you did the right thing!

Maybe if the beak had been facing the other way, towards the blade instead of away.

Today I heat treated this new design. I spent all Wednesday night in my basement, doodling and erasing and doodling some more until I had found a satisfactory design for the spine and the tail. I am happy with this. The fins on the spine slope inward so they never touch the strop. and even if they would, during flipping, it wouldn't matter because every edge and corner is rounded and smoothed.

Do you have a name for this one yet? Let me guess, Predator or Raptor. I can't wait to see it when you are finished with it, It looks very cool and radically different.

That's very nice Bruno. I like the double barbers notch, it gives it character. I don't know if one wold call that a double barbers notch but that's what I will call it. As far as looks, to me it's like a dragon! How about the dragonslayer blade............

Makes me think of Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter. Not the razor.

Yep and it looks like a tooth pry bar at the tail end, nothing like having Home Dental kits, they can be a real scream.

Dang Bruno! That's quite a blade... Draco would be a fitting name!
You've got some imagination, that's for sure, and I'll bet it shaves great.
