Nice job, I like Morleys they take a good edge. Looks like that one hardly has any hone wear. Good grab!

Thanked: 4826It looks like a pretty good candidate for sure BeJay. It looks to still be in top shape.

It really is in great shape. Some staining and very, very light pitting. There's almost no hone wear and the scales will clean up pretty easy. I've been trying to keep my purchases under $20 and I got this one for &17.50. The Winchester and Adoration that I did last week were also under $20.

Thanked: 4206Finishing off the brass lined prototype set from that blank I cast tonight finally.
Decided to use the urethane for the wedge and trim it after pinning. Also wanted to go with washer less pinning.
After drilling I opened up a small taper to give the pin somewhere to swell while peening.
I use one of these different shaped rotary files for the job.
Then on to tightening it up slowly side by side. Then onto the wedge.
Bit of shortsightedness on my part as when I got to the pivot I realized the blade had too much play in the hole for my liking so I had to go with a bushing style washer that Tom graciously sent me to take up the play. Not quite the symmetry at the pins I like, but muh, Roll with it.
You can also see the different alloy colour on the tail where I performed my silver solder repair.
All in all though I'm happy with the results.
Now to the stones!
Cheers men.

Thanked: 4826I'm not sure you will be able to easily top those scales and brush set my friend. It is all looking over the top great. I need to get back to work on some scales and blades. This work really gets in the way of doing projects.
