Excellent choice Mike. I think the scales compliment the blade perfectly.
    The Sheffield looks great!

That's a great looking razor Phrank. I'm more of a synthetic guy, but as best as I can figure, and Escher finish on top of a Coticule finish = an Escher finish.

I've had a few razors, one in particular from Wolfpack, who finished a razor first with the Coti, then went to the Escher...thinking maybe he used the Coti for around the 8-10k range, then went to the Escher...I'm just trying a Coti finish first.

Hopefully, I won't end up throwing the stone in the backyard....

Outback - yes, got the Givenchy soap and it's the exact match for my old aftershave...awesome find and thanks. Love the stuff.

Yep, Wolfpack makes a pretty smooth edge on a Sheffield with a coticule and Escher.

The Turner is looking nice Phrank.

I have not had the pleasure of a beaver but many muskrats. They know you are there but need the air. You can watch them hesitate but then they have no choice. I guess I could spear them but don't know or care what their hide is worth. More fun just to watch them at this point in my life.

    Thanks, Paul.
I probably would have finished sanding them, but I ran out of the grit I'm on at the moment. I honed up the Geneva this morning, ( Naniwa,1000 Chosera,5000 SS,8000 Snow White,12000 SS, finished on Thurigan) Then to fine weave linen, to a C-Mon, 411 shell strop.
Pops hair at the slightest touch..!!!
I'll give it a test ride in the morning.
Gotta make sure its tuned properly. [emoji41]

Nice work on that turner phrank. Good luck with the coti experiments. Running from thick slurry through dilution to clear. Lightening the strokes as you go. That worked well for me with the coticule.
Outback, another great shape choice of those bog skins sir. Nice slender taper..
    Nice work men,
