My observation is more material needs removed, hence the wide bevel at the heal. Try to reach the one layer tape bevel, no more than two. Using rolling x strk.
In short... Raise the heal, create more of a smile JMO.
Its worked for me on some blades.
Gonna have to lower that heel sooner or later to get it shaving, outback!

Glad you remembered to take your pill!

Ok, perhaps I will. Need to sit at a computer for that and it will be a separate thread. This was done before I had a Dremel, so all manual work, no vise, nothing.. Gives it a rustic look (you know, a free-handed drill slips lol). The key is layering the dust/CA mix. You dont want to create a mushy looking surface... And patience... And sanding stuff away, when you're not happy with it. There may be around 10-12 coats of CA here, mixed and clear.

Only recently I got a bunch of g10, thanks to a friend who came to visit us and brought over my order, from usaknifemakers. I got a Dremel recently, too, so now just need some time and some razors. Only have 3 without scales and 2 of them will get horn/antler for scales. Perhaps I'll get creative with a Cadman Bengall I have had sitting around for a while.

I commit and shave mine off, even though I hate doin it. All to raise money for research. My team link below in my sig. Worth donating to as it may help us.
And yea, it does let you know which way the wind blows for sure once that lip is exposed.
I posted up my moustache removal shave and linked it from the Movember thread.

    (shameless plug for donations here).

I took a pic of my ugly mug before saving off my 'stache & after. You really don't have to do it but if you want to help out, you can. That's what some said in the thread on here:

    http://straightrazorpalace.com/gener...er-2015-a.html

Any of you can do it. If you see my post in the above link, I said I didn't do it for the contest. I shaved my mustache off anyway because it will grow back fast.

I shall pass on looking at silly mugs, yet I will sponsor you and Mike. Not much though......

This could get out of hand!

Lots (most all, IMO) of razors have multiple grinds, but the George Korn patent (type) is much different and is quite unique and pronounced!

Does not look as Newell's is one, however. Perhaps someone sanded it lengthwise above the bevel?
Tom, I agree. BTW, that's a beautiful Clauss. Too bad it has pitting on the other side.
The Lakeside & the bottom one, the Cattaraugus both say Double hollow in the blade. It is hard to see in the bottom one but it is. Like I said earlier, my thinking on the others with the grooves or trenches ground in them may have been for balancing the razor but there might be some other ideas too!

Funny thing...............I just put the Lakeside & Cattaraugus together. The blades look almost identical. Both are 5/8" & both have a horizontal line at the beginning of the tang with the same amount of space between the 2nd stabilizer & the line.

Of course the Cattaraugus! I was sidetracked picking off the others and missed that!

How could Korn's patent design make it into a Cattaraugus? Perhaps a Lakeside? (Thanks, Martin! )

MikeT, thanks for your confidence in me but I think I'll pass on that one even though it comes with an Illinois strop, strop dressing & a stone w/slurry. It is now in the Wall of Shame.
