The end result. Braised lamb steaks. With carrots shrooms and fondant potatos. And of course gravy.

Acorn meal tastes like a bland nut. The flatbread had a bit of a roasted nut flavor.

I shelled some acorns when I was a kid and remember rinsing them in a strainer and the water came out purple from the bottom.

Well as I'd posted in (Who Bakes Bread) I'd made my rolls on Friday as I was hosting my day of giving Thanks on Saturday so that my kids, their significant others and my grand kids could have a nice relaxed day and I wouldn't have to be stressed trying to make sure that I had the meal ready within a certain time frame. They have other families that they spend time with on the special holidays.
SRP was down when I went to post the pics so here they are just a little bit late:
The spread;
From Left to Right
(Front) Ham Gravy, Wheat Rolls (Rear) Bread Dressing, Candied Sweet Potatoes
Again Left to Right
(Front) Green Beans with Bacon, Smoke Cooked Ham
OH! That's Real Butter in the foreground
Sorry but I spaced off a pic of the Pumpkin Coconut Pie (I use Coconut Milk instead of Evaporated Milk)Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.
