I have ordered a usb scope but will not be in for a couple weeks and then I can share my edge work. Untill then here is some of my clean ups.

first I am working on a Boker red Injun, she took alot of elbow grease but finally got her to shine. I will be putting red Buffalo horn scales on it.

2nd I am working on a Griffon XX. Same she was dirty but some love she looks like new. Soon I will be dressing her with some custom Lava Scales.

3rd I just finnished a resto on a crown and sword. My first bigger blade. I kept the original scales, just cleaned her up and ran her through a kuromaku 1K, goken Fuji 4 and 8K and finished her off with an ILR12-15K and laps of canvas and leather.

I found this razor in a drawer yesterday and don't even remember where I got it. I received a jar of 3M Marine Metal Restorer I ordered and decided to give it a go.
The razor looked like this before I started.

I removed the light rust with some wet dry and then went to work with the 3M. It cleaned up nicely.

I followed up with a honing and have it on deck for the morning.
I want to thank Mike @Outback for the plans for my magnetic razor holder and the 3M recommendation. This was fun. [emoji3]

    Looks good, B.
If you want it brighter, you can use the 3M on a buffer wheel
    Or Dremmel.

A wonderful looking Freddy Mrchick. It's in great condition to after the restore. Really love the classic but simple shape of this one.

Last night I got sent to the basement while my wife had a girl party, so I was able to finally prepare some wood for a project I've kept putting off. While watching the Blue Jays game, I was hopping back and forth from the tv to the lathe. Trued up and slightly rough bored a piece I had roughed turned a little while back. This was a piece of the Box Elder burl I found on the side of the road, if you guys remember those huge chunks I got.

After putting a fresh face on all sides, I decided to try stabilizing it in my vac chamber using wood hardener. First time using wood hardener, but I'm really happy with the results. I was able to more than double the weight of the wood. Now to let this dry and get it back on the lathe.

This got a slightly extended vac session after the long and dramatic 9th inning where the Jays showed how terrible their bullpen is.

Nice wood HARRYWALLY, do not know what you want to get.
I have stabilized some wood, the first in the tests was a wood of brier.
With small imperfections I managed to do this, knot is finest two band badger:

Yes, the Freddy has classic lines. It is one of my favorite blade shapes. This razor shaved like dream this morning. It's a keeper[emoji3]
