Thanked: 4207Of course they are,,, to start. That's why they are here.
The Dorko wasn't ugly enough to deserve to show it's pretty German face in here IMO.
I want to keep the swan to duckling ratio firmly under control, if ya know what I mean.
Mike's Artist was almost to pretty to be here, but hey, let a few slide for brotha's..
I like the ones we post that are restore attempts that others might not even bother with. Keeps it legit to the theme.
If I could incorporate a sound track it would be:

Funny to hear some above talking about digging old razors and never selling them. A good friend came in today and demanded to see what I had for sale. Wanted to get a gift for a business associate. I stuttered and himhawed and began to drag things out to view. He WOULD pick this nice Hess 42 modern-grind wedge which has languished on the bench for a good 4 years.
I told him I had never seen another. Probably never will.
Oh well, all honed-up and ready for my Sunday shave so that it may return to Germany on Monday.
Never used it, but it still made me kindof sad. Now the brush is reknotted with a silvertip, so I won't miss that much as I prefer 2-banders. I can use a few bucks, anyway?

I rest my case.

Thanked: 4828Nice set. I have never had a Hess never mind a Hess wedge. I suspect it is identical to the SatinWedge.

Bet it will be a divine shave."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Goes to show, Mike. Gotta let some go. I am on the 4 year rule. Learned it from a wise man a lot of years ago.

Not just razors, either"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."

Thanked: 4207Sounds like a wise plan actually. I feel a purge coming in a year or so.
I really need to get an eye on your neglected bench,, start laying hair's across things or putting chalk outlines down.

Auhah!!! You called me a hoarder... But you are the real hoarder maybe... hehehe
You are probably sitting on at least a couple dozen rarest of the rare Pakistani blades that put those Hess blades, you could give me those Hess and the Herder, Im willing to pay for the shipping costs, and promise to shave with them each once a month.“You must unlearn what you have learned.”
