Not really. Been awhile since i used it. I take you steel wooled between coats, from what i remember, once dry its like doing CA.
light grit sanding till all the shiny stuff is gone, then polish. I aways bought the kit , cause everything comes with it.

    Micro mesh would be perfect.

Micro-mesh, I have. So you can smooth it out and polish it? Some Maas?

    No rush....
Might as well refer to me too. I've had other issues going on but I did get a chance to clean the Rob Hartkopf Victory blade with some Maas with an old piece of t-shirt. Got a lotta dirt off of it, then I saw it so I verified with my loupe. Sadly it has a crack in the edge & I don't know if there's any hope for it by the time I get the crack out. It is between 1/32" but just under 1/16". Like Johnny Cash sung, cry, cry, cry..............

Good evening gentlemen! I'm looking forward to reading some good posts and seeing some serious straight razor workshop porn! Lol hehehe
I'm in bed with a cold so no workshop for me, wife's orders.. she threatened to make me go shoe shopping with her... for the love of God not that!
I'm trying to find some blades that will do for this thread because I don't have many trashed one's. I agree with Mike B52 that we should stay on topic, I had been one of those that strayed.. don't worry Mike I'll find some thrashed one's to fix up!
Now come on guys give me some pics and reading!

I've taken some time today and finished the scales for shorty.

I also changed my mind on the finish. I've once again gone wth CA , "only" because i cracked one of the scales being stupid.

Off to the track, in hope's of no failures.
