39 miles to and from work today, 43 degrees and raining on the way in.

Fortunately when I got home Thursday night a package was waiting - a new thermal jersey and a windproof and waterproof jacket for riding. Stayed warm and dry despite the nasty weather.

Went with my girlfriend and daughter to the local Parkrun this morning. After finishing, I ran back and fetched my daughter and then walked with her to the finish. I then ran home and fetched the car as she had pulled a muscle. Anyway, a grand total of 9km.

Shelley, my gf, went for a ride on her bike afterwards and loved it. She's as happy as a pig in shit, with the way it turned out!

Next weekend I'm off to the SA Singlespeed Championships. Cycling is pretty much secondary to the party and good times.

I did a three mile run on a wood chip trail this morning. This is my first run in two weeks. I have been resting a tight IT band, back and hips. It was a little sore, so I'm curious to see how it feels tomorrow.
