Should keep a lathered brush warm, from the looks of how its made.

Hot water in one side, brush in the other.

Its also before 1891, before the conglomeration of silver company's here in the states. Nice Grab.!

Thank you for the info, the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

My friends like to tease me a bit, I'm often way too literal, and so sarcasm goes right over my head.. got me in a bunch of scraps when I was younger! Lol
And so I'm usually on my guard now, and often think people are pulling my leg. Hehehe
It's been fun learning how to joke and jest with the guys though.

I wonder if such sound dampening can be applied to other noise issues:::

Do your ears ring with your wife's screams all too often???
NO PROBLEM!!! Just attach one of these doodads to the side of your car (or head) and voila!!! Problem solved!"

Working my way back to sharp objects slowly in the workshop.
Son gave me a couple of Swedish knife blanks for Christmas so I thought I would try to make some handles for them out of a couple of patterned pen blanks.
Also decided to try some off set turning on the paring knife.

Now to let them set up and do the final shaping and finish.

They were both very nicely made blanks and quite sharp out of the package. I see why you like them.
Went with the slow cure G2 epoxy so won’t be able to do anything else till tomorrow on them.

So I turned a couple more pens after dinner. Tried the rifleman kit, and a slimline made out of bamboo.

Used antler for the rifle kit as well. Seemed appropriate.

Quite the fancy pen when turned, with some heft to it.
Cock it to advance the pen..

Nope, slack belt finish I think Tom. Will hack off the exposed bits of aluminum, then file the bolsters to where I want em.
Use the 2” slack belt at 1600 rpm on the wood. Then a beeswax finish I think..

Love the look of that Rifleman pen, Mike. Extra weight is a good thing in my opinion. Does the clip still hold strong enough to clip onto a pocket tight? Or do you see it getting loose after some time and use?

I will let you know after a week in my shirt at work Jerry.
Seems to have a strong hinge assy, and a good grip. Bending over and it not falling out will be the test.

Yep. That is important to a guy like me. Its got to stay in the pocket. I dont just sit at a desk and have a pen laying on the desk. I bet a lot of folks would like to know about this. Thanks Mike.
