limited or blessed..depends on your point of view. Nothing like good solid rustic wood furniture to compliment a good solid wood log home. Better than what some of us city zombies are dwelling in I say .

    Man I wish

We just don't have the height required for one, we have one above the entry way, the wife and I have been "debating" over lighting above the Dinning room table for about 12 years now... One of these days we will agree and I will have to do some wiring

Coming back to this for a reason. although I enjoy making my own blends, Penzeys has an outstanding assortment of blends and stand alone spices. Their product is always as fresh as they can get it(never sits in a warehouse) and they have some awesome stuff. I was there today and they gave me a bottle of this as a complimentary for my purchase. It's actually a good all purpose Italian blend. I ended up getting some Ceylon Cinnamon(true cinnamon), some Mexican Vanilla extract (awesome), Rogan Josh Indian curry blend and some North African Berbere(hot curry spice), also picked up some Bavarian Herb blend (great for meats and chicken soup) and last but not least some dried green bell pepper for my Cajun blend. So good on ya 32t ! +1

My first ribs of the season. Baby backs were on sale yesterday so picked up 3 racks. Made a rub last night with a touch of salt, pepper, paprika, cumin and coffee grounds. Low and slow today for 5 hours and a few chunks of hickory. Little cold for my cigar, but it's still early in the season...

After a long trek out in the woods today, we wanted some proper grub for supper.
The weather has finally changed, springs seems to be just around the corner, so the grill was put to the task.

Some pork-chops, baked new-potatoes and some grilled peppers was our choice of the day.
Tasty stuff, I just love to cook outside.
