I used fresh tape from the off, then after 5k, then after 16k..

When I noticed the part that could represent not touching the hone I added another layer which made no difference. Meaning the shiny bit rite on the edge was not caused by missing the stone but that part was the only part touching the stone..
If that is understandable?

Basically when I hit the Escher only the very edge was touching?

The tape didn't even need changing after 16k?
